Privacy Policy

CAUSR is a technology platform that reads an advertiser’s own Meta advertising data and shows which creative choices drive results. This policy sets out what data we handle, how we use it, and how to control it.
1. Who we are

2. What we hold
Your Meta advertising data
We access it through Meta’s official Marketing API. Access is read-only, granted by you, and limited to the ad accounts and Pages you assign to us.

We do not receive data identifying the people who saw or clicked your ads. Meta’s reporting is aggregate.
Your images and videos may show identifiable people. Our technology reads creative characteristics — format, structure, pacing, on-screen text, spoken content. It does not perform facial recognition or biometric identification. You are responsible for holding the rights and consents needed to grant us access to this material.
Your contact details
What you give us directly, through the request form on causr.ai or in correspondence: name, work email, telephone number, company name and website, role, industry, monthly Meta advertising spend, and the content of your messages. This applies to people at client and prospective client organisations. We hold no contact data about anyone else.
Website data
Our own analytics sets no cookies. We record page views and page-performance measurements along with coarse details — country, browser, operating system, device type — tied to no identifier that would recognise you across sessions or across other sites. When someone submits the request form we record that a submission occurred, with the industry, spend band and role selected, never a name, email address, telephone number or message. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include IP address, for security and reliability.
causr.ai also carries the Meta pixel, so that we can measure which of our own advertising brings people here. It sets a cookie named _fbp and reports page views and form submissions to Meta, which can associate them with a Meta account and with your activity on other sites that use the same technology. We send Meta no name, email address, telephone number or message. Blocking third-party cookies, or any tracker blocker, prevents it.
3. What we use it for
- Delivering the service you engaged us for.
- Training, quality assurance and improvement of our technology.
- Research, marketing and case studies, using only aggregated and anonymised material in which you cannot reasonably be identified. We do not use your name, brand or logo without your written approval.
- Corresponding with you.
- Securing, backing up and maintaining our systems.
4. What we do not do
- We do not create, place, edit, pause or manage ads.
- We do not sell, rent or trade data.
- We do not build audiences, lookalike audiences or targeting segments.
- We do not attempt to identify, profile or track any individual.
- We do not identify you, your account or your creative to anyone without your written approval.
- We do not use data obtained through Meta’s APIs for anything beyond the purposes in section 3.
5. Who else processes it
We use third-party infrastructure and services to run the platform. We will tell you which providers we use, and what each does, on written request.

Every provider is bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations no less restrictive than our own, and we remain responsible for their acts and omissions. Where creative assets are processed by an AI provider, we contract on terms under which the provider does not use your creative, or the results, to train or improve its models.
6. Where we hold it, and for how long
Working data is held on encrypted systems under our control in India, with encrypted backups held in Mumbai, India.
We retain your advertising data, creative and the work built from it for the duration of the engagement and after it ends, so that resuming does not require refetching and reprocessing your account. Contact details are held for the duration of the relationship, plus any period Indian tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are short-term, as set by our hosting provider.
You can have any of it deleted at any time — section 8.
7. Security
Credentials are held in encrypted secret storage, never in code or documents. Access to client data is limited to those who need it for the work. Backups are encrypted at rest and access-controlled. If a breach affects your data we will tell you promptly, and notify the authorities where the law requires it.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, provide a copy, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw a consent you gave. Write to legal@causr.ai with Privacy in the subject. There is no charge. We complete deletion within 90 days of confirming the request.
Deletion covers data that identifies you. Aggregated and anonymised material in which you cannot reasonably be identified is not affected. Our data deletion instructions set out the detail.
9. Complaints
Write to legal@causr.ai with Grievance in the subject. If you are in India and we do not resolve it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Changes
We update the date at the top when this policy changes. Where a change materially affects an active engagement, we tell the client directly.
